Mixtapes: Scorp Da Boy – Weed Out x Weed Out Too! x Weed Out Tree

While I don’t smoke anymore after a out of body experience with a 4ft bong where I spoke to God and felt like my body de-molecularized and then re-molecularized….which later led to me later failing a drug.  I still have the soul of stoner and whole heartily enjoy the music of my stoner brother and sisters.  I’ve just fully devoted myself to alcohol these days.  So being that‘s it’s 4/20 Scorp has a new tape Tales From The Kush: Kush Keeper Special Edition out and he’s opening up for Slaughterhouse tonight at Troc I wanted to throw my support behind one of Philly’s favorite stoners and also my own.  Especially, since we have met a couple times and he may have very well provided me with one of my favorite stoner memories when he performed in front of a bunch of kids at this block party.  I don’t even know what to even say about that aside from the fact it was hilarious and me and Big Oc Diesel still laugh about it to this day.  My homie DJ NoPhrillz worked on the 2nd Weed Out too.  Anyway, tracklisting and link after the jump for all 3 tapes with exception of the first Weed Out.

Mixtapes: Random Axe (Black Milk x Sean Price x Guilty Simpson)

With the Black Milk show tonight at Silk City I figured I should at least go back and post some of these mixtapes from one of my favorite artist in Black Milk.  I’m not even sure it’s fair to even call him just an artist as he a great producer, rapper, and performer.  As a result, I’m really looking forward to seeing him perform again in Philly, no less, as his album release party for Album Of The Year still remains one of my favorite shows ever.  While, I do love Random Axe I did feel like something was lost by not seeing each of the group’s great performances perform by themself…I don’t know that may have just been me though.  Anyway, if you don’t already have Album Of The Year or even the Random Axe album I would definitely recommend both of those.  Black Milk’s Black & Brown w/ Danny Brown is great too.  Since, we’re talking about Random Axe why not bring back some of these mixtapes from Sean Price and Guilty Simpson as well.  I really love how there’s like 3 legitimately great super groups now in Slaughterhouse, Random Axe, and the newly formed M.A.R.S. now.  It almost makes me want to punch someone through a school bus Sean P style.  Look out for my piece on Sean P tentatively titled How I Became A Sean P Fan  & Got Punched Through A School Bus coming soon too.  Also, the long overdue piece on Black Milk as well.  For now enjoy the mixtapes from Black Milk, Sean Price, and Guilty Simpson or Random Axe as they are collectively known as after the jump.  I need Mic Tyson like now too.
